#StealHisStyle

Welcome to my new male blogger series: #StealHisStlye, which features interviews with some of my favorite fashion male bloggers or digital influencers who effortlessly add their sauce to the fashion industry by redefining the meaning of style. These influencers are game changers and it’s time to give them the spotlight. Iconic and eclectic style is derived from numerous sources, let’s get inspired by their journeys!  #StealHisStlye will show the evolution and diversity of male fashion with latest styles by trendsetting bloggers.

With a residence in Italy, the smoldering 21 year old Loubassou Justanny, owner of Black Fashion Guy, style is original, simple and uninhibited. His adapted nonchalance adds a complex frill with a touch of versatility to street style attire. Similar to his favorite singer Chris Brown, Loubassou delivers looks of urban streetwear married to the skater-boy style; thus, giving us his detailed take to street style.

Loubassou knows when to dress up his look in which he turns to a millennial favorite, the beloved Zara for style components of the night. With aspirations to be a working model, he has traveled to the famous fashion cities Dubai and New York, which he claims if you are a fashion stylist those are two exceptionally beautiful places one must visit.

Let’s learn more about his opinions on modeling, fashion, style, influencer marketing and the power of social media.

About Instagram I like the possibility to show to the world your style, what you think is cool to wear and the opportunity to work with many different brands.

Let’s learn more about this menswear influencer and how he uses Instagram to his advantage for the fashion world.

Natonya: Hometown?

Loubassou Justanny: I’m from Congo-Brazzaville, but when I was 4 years old I came to Italy. I like Italy but I would like to travel to London and maybe try to model for some big brand.

Natonya: Why did you start fashion blogging?

Loubassou Justanny: I started fashion blogging because when I was a child I liked to take photos in different types of outfits, like a professional model. I continue now and I hope more people will like my outfits and how I’m feeling it!

Natonya: Describe your go-to look.

Loubassou Justanny: My style is a t-shirt with jeans and sneakers! My favorite sneakers are Vans but for important events I do classy looks with a Zara outfit.

Natonya: What is your definition of fashion?

Loubassou Justanny: For me fashion is how you can convey your mood to all those who see you walking down the street without having to speak. Fashion is not just a set of clothes put together to compose a style but it’s how you want to introduce yourself to the people in front of you.

Natonya: Five words to describe your style.

Loubassou Justanny: If I had five words to describe my style I would say street style, if I want to wear ripped jeans like a skateboarder. I’m elegant when I have some important meeting, but I’m also casual, classic and cool.

Natonya: Who or where do you get fashion inspo?

Loubassou Justanny: I get my fashion inspo from @Magic_fox and @Kosta_Williams, I think they have great style! Although I follow them, I try to create my own style…maybe one day I can be like Versace or Gucci!

Natonya: Favorite designers/stores/brands.

Loubassou Justanny: I don’t have favorite designers,  but my favorite store is Zara. When I enter Zara, I become crazy because I like all their things. In second position, I like H&M because it’s not really expensive but I don’t like their quality of clothes. My favorite brands are

  • Classy Men Collection
  • Born Risky apparel
  • Hype Royalty
  • Zara
  • Bershka
  • Givenchy
  • Nike
  • Adidas

Natonya: Can’t walk out the door without wearing?

Loubassou Justanny: I can’t go without my watch, my Daniel Wellington for an elegant style or my Casio for my street look.

Natonya: What do you want people to learn from your blog?

Loubassou Justanny: From my blog, I want people know style isn’t created by only a fashion stylist but it can be created by anybody who likes to wear different type of clothes. Like me, I don’t have a certificate to say I’m a fashion blogger but people like my style and this makes me a fashion blogger.

Natonya: What are your goals with fashion blogging?

Loubassou Justanny: My goal with fashion blogging is to be able to create my personal brand and be recognized all around the world.

Natonya: Any bloggers who inspire your style or blog content?

Loubassou Justanny: Many bloggers inspire my style but my favorite is @Magic_fox because he is simple and cool.

Natonya: What magazines do you read or follow online?

Loubassou Justanny: Until today I don’t read online magazines but I will start to read your blog because it’s really interesting.

Natonya: Who have you collaborated with? If none, which brands or companies do you want to work with?

Loubassou Justanny: I collaborated with several companies which include:

  • Luvenesco
  • Born Risky
  • Classy Men Collection
  • The Watchos
  • Hype Authority
  • Linder Apparel
  • Accettame
  • Sleek Supply Co.

But my dream is to collaborate with Zara, BALR. and Daniel Wellington.

Natonya: What advice do you give someone trying to discover his or her style?

Loubassou Justanny: I think to discover your style you need to know your favorite colors. Know what color to wear that makes you feel more beautiful and comfortable. For a style tip, it’s helpful to learn how to combine colors of your clothes with your shoes.

I think social media can be used to do many things, the first is to attract many different kinds of people.

Natonya: What changes would you like to see in the fashion industry?

Loubassou Justanny: I think now the fashion industry gives everything people want, but companies must create something nobody has seen. Brands continue to repeat many trends of the past and people like it, but it’s good to create something new that no one has seen.

Great interview, I love hearing different perspectives and inspirations from others in the fashion/blogging industry. One comment that I agree with is that the current trends are a rehash of past and we do need a fresh outlook.

I know right, we do keep seeing the same thing over and over, so it would be so nice for brands to just create something entirely new for us to buy. It’s kinda like that with movie industry, so many films are being remade…sometime it’s nice to leave the classics alone and start something new 🙂
