NO WORKOUT NECESSARY
Beautiful thing about clothes is the illusion aspect created on your body. Instantly, certain pieces bring you height such as stilettos or vertical stripes and the placement of high-sitting back pockets to make your bum bum look bigger. We all want to look our best by highlighting those favorite assets and hiding what we’re not so comfortable showing.
If there is something about you that you like, show it off. -Ashley Graham
Ever wonder how some celebrities look flawless on the red carpet? They hire the best stylists to tailor clothes flattering their body types. But you don’t need a Hollywood stylist to get that star-studded look. You just need tips, tricks and the right tools to emphasize any look you want. As your online fashion guru or your style bestie, I’m here to share with you everything I know and continue to learn about fashion.
Snatched Waist
One never-ending but prominent fashion trend is the craved snatched waist. Even from the 1500s, women were squeezing their bodies into corsets and the 1920s to late 60s, ladies wore girdles as an essential piece under their daily attire.
Now here we are today modernized yet still staying true to an unforgettable trend, sharpening the waist. How many women on Instagram do we see endorsing waist trainers or proudly announcing their honesty in shape-wear under their garments?
I woke up like this, we flawless, ladies tell ’em. -Beyonce
Snatched waists are popular because it enhances a women’s curves and leaves her feeling sexier. Today, you see lots of women embracing their bodies such as Iskra Lawrence, La’Tecia Thomas and Denise Bidot. Naturally curvy Beyonce is another woman not afraid to flaunt her waist and confidence through body hugging clothing.
Many women admire Beyonce because she’s fearless and inhibited with her style choices. But you don’t have to exercise or hire a personal stylist to dress like the recording artist. The tips I’m providing will teach you how to play with patterns, accessories and specific style choices to get that Beyonce look for a fraction of what she spends.
Cropped Tops
Baby t-shirts really give the empire waist competition. Easily tie your shirt to show off your rib-cage or wear to it’s full length, either style creates a demarcation line to defining the smaller part of your body.
Doesn’t matter your size, anyone can wear a cropped top. This freeing blouse exposes the midriff and draws attention to the smallest part of your body. Try wearing co-ord sets or two different patterns for a dynamic feature.
Ruffles
Romantic and frilly, ruffles play beautifully with every body frame. The distracting trick with ruffles is making other body parts stand out, causing your eye to dance around the frame yet pulling you into the midsection.
Try ruffled peplum tops, which grab in and flare out to create the hourglass shape. The whole outfit doesn’t need to be dazzled with the frill just a small amount to distract the eye is super helpful.
Bodysuits
No only movable with your silhouette, bodysuits hug you in all the right places. One cool property about this essential piece is no need for shape-wear because it doubles down as outerwear and a undergarment.
Wear your bodysuit with boyfriend jeans for a 90s baggy look or with a mini skirt and denim jacket for a sassy moment. Either way, every woman needs this versatile piece because it’s easy to dress up or down with any outfit for every occasion.
Extra Long Belts
Long belts do more than squeeze you in or hold your pants in place, this style pulls the eye towards the waist then lowers your gaze down to the legs to elongate the whole body. Subtle trick but provides massive results.
Whether worn to the floor or mid thigh, forget trying to hide the excess fabric, this sassy accessory is cute over a patterned coat, colored trousers, leather mini skirt or a printed maxi dress.
High-Waist Jeans
All women look good in high-waist jeans. Tall, short, skinny, curvy, voluptuous full-figured, straight-slim, athletic build or petite, it flatters everyone. Black denim, legging-style, mom-fitted or neon hues, jeans go with nearly every blouse in your closet.
Benefits of high-waist denim is the immediate attention to your mid-section and the instant shape jeans give you, naturally outlining your curves and silhouette.
Waist-Belt Bag
In my guest post about top 5 stylish items for spring on Dalene Ekirapa’s site, I discussed how belted bags are a hot accessory. As I like to call, the fanny pack’s cousin, belted bags are an accessible fashion item acceptable year round.
Belted bags are not only convenient and functional but an obvious way to highlight the mid-section by bringing your eye into the waist area. Wear the bag loose and let it hang from your hips to enhance a curvier look.
So you can look like Beyonce without spending a ton of cash, working out 5 hours/wk or dieting, all you need is the right accessories and pieces to really transform your look into a star-studded appearance.
Which style or accessory do you plan to try?

I never would buy a cropped top as I’m not a fan of my body and like to cover it but today I had a spur of the moment and bought one and I kind of love it. It’s just slightly shorter than my jeans so not too revealing and I feel comfortable in it☺️

I just don’t know how you do it. Another great quality blog post and really informative content. Getting that coca-cola body is truly a life changer for everyone no matter what shape or size you are. Fashion is not about hiding your flaws but enhancing your features.i love crop tops and high-waist jeans. I am not particularly curvy but it somewhat helps create an illusion that I have curves. We should all love our natural curve.
