My Positive Outlook on Acne Helped Me Find the Perfect Moisturizer

“Chanel here is the Mario Badescu line, should we try the cucumber spray?”, I hesitantly said to my sister. Our main goal was to find a product on sale for my irritable acne and over-clogged pores during Ulta’s famous beauty month. As she ravished through autumny eye-shadow samples, I patiently waited for my self-taught MUA sister to meet me at the high-end skincare section. We spent the weekend before highlighting and mapping out products in Ulta’s catalog for our different skin types.

Last year, I sampled Mario Badescu rosewater spray simply because social media declared it as a must-have. After 5 minutes of spraying, my skin was irritated. So during our recent beauty month visit, I was apprehensive in trying another Mario Badescu product. But I recently adapted an attitude to explore life through intuition and my gut feeling, I had to try the line at least one more time.

I’m a believer in everything happening for a reason because there are miracles out of mistakes.

Because I was emotionally pulled towards the brand, I went in with a clear head. I picked up an item and started thoroughly reading the bottle. Before I knew it, I was educating myself about the brand’s mission, ingredients and audience.

After scouring the shelf, my eyes felled upon an oil-free moisturizer suitable for sensitive, combination and oily skin. As I read the ingredient list, my eyes were glistening to the notes of green tea and Aloe Vera juice, which are all pleasant for my super sensitive skin 😁.

Staying with the mindset Mario Badescu’s line irritated my skin before, it’ll do it again, would’ve kept me from finding the perfect moisturizer. Yes, this SPF 30 formula has fulfilled the needs for my face! No irritation, non greasy, easy absorption and no white cast, it’s just pure moisture.

Never let one bad experience influence your next opportunity.

If you read my post about the return of my acne, you’ll understand my determination in finding a practical and an affordable solution to my delicate, acne prone, combination and sometimes over oily skin. Mario Badescu’s oil-free 30 SPF moisturizer is creamy with a light-weight consistency, leaving my face hydrated all day. I only need a pea-sized amount, which makes this $24 budget-friendly bottle lasts months.

Miracles always blossom out of mistakes and a beautiful blessing from the re-occurrence of my acne is understanding my body more clearly. My skin journey is teaching me to not give up, keep educating myself and try new things.

I’ve never tried Mario Badescu before but I do believe I have a combo of dry and oily face as well…ALSO, I never put SPF on my face except for when I’m at the beach… So I guess that will have to change too 😆 Thank you for your review! I also pinned this to one of my boards on Pinterest xx

Hey Kayla! Yea I was a bit skeptical when the rosewater spray made my face itch and the cucumber spray eventually bothered my skin too but I was always drawn to the brand. Going with my instincts, I tried it one more time and it paid off. The moisturizer is the best one I’ve ever tried! So happy I didn’t give up 🙂 Thanks for reading ❤
