CHEAP NATURAL EYEBROW LOOK
I’m here for the glitz and glam, whether it’s a captivating summer beauty look, a bright spring eyeshadow or burgundy lips for fall. However, I’m not the type who wears a ton of makeup, mainly because I have sensitive acne-prone skin and my face thrives better when it’s able to breathe. So the best way for me to wear makeup and keep my skin clear is by using a minimum amount.
Minimal makeup leaves me feeling polished yet still natural. I usually focus on powder foundations like MAC Studio Fix as my go-to on days I want an even skin tone. Next, I like to add a bit of color to my lips. My favorite lip shade is one of an almond, nude, brown or cinnamon tone. A touch of mascara on my lashes makes my eyes pop but my brows are the special part of my minimal makeup routine.
My Simple Eyebrow Routine
Once women discovered the beauty in how brows emphasize their eyes and shape the face, we’ve seen a surge in different types of brow looks. Some women like to leave their brows fluffy for an au natural appearance. Others value the pencil-in bold look to provide structure and sharpness. My younger sister Chanel is really good at creating a sultry bold eyebrow, check out her Instagram page here. However you choose to rock your eyebrows, it’s safe to bet that stepping up your brow game will create a whole new vibe for yourself.
They say your eyes are the windows to your soul, well I guess eyebrows are the frames to the windows.
I used to cut my brows down and pencil them in for the slim brow style until one day my eyebrows almost didn’t grow back!😲🤭 Luckily I was able to grow them back with a bit of castor oil. Yes, castor oil works in growing out your eyebrows!
Today, I let my brows roam free on my face. In fact, I never give those hairy rulers a trim. I just let them be, even if they’re uneven after shaping them with makeup. On days where I want to be more polished, I opt for a minimal yet simple and natural brow routine.
Morphe Micro Brow Pencil | $5
Tons of makeup gurus prefer expensive top-selling brands like IT Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Benefit Cosmetics or MAC to help enhance their brows. I tried most of those brands and the products are worth the coin. However, budgets come into play so it’s a win-win situation to find an affordable product that works just as well as the high-end range.
Morphe Micro Brow Pencil is a cheap product that works incredibly well! I definitely recommend it because it easily fills in the brows for the natural look. First, I outline my brows and then gently fill in the area with quick hairlike strokes, then I clean up the brow with the spoolie end of the pencil for a more natural and softer look.
Sometimes the eyebrows don’t come out as clean with a regular pencil or it gives a harsh look. The precision with the Morphe pencil is on point and leaves my brows naturally shapely on my terms without them looking too bushy. By applying more pressure, you can create a bolder look for darker and sharper brows.
My only complaint is that a small portion of the pencil felled out. Now that could have been a bad pencil because I finished one before without any problems. But it’s quite disappointing to lose product before you finished.
Natonya, would you buy it again? Yes!
E.l.f. Wow Brow Gel | $4
Shade: Deep Brown
You know those days when you need to run quick errands but you want to fill in your brows without the complete production? The E.l.f. Wow Brow Gel makes it so easy.
Sometimes I apply eyebrow gel alone but most days after using the Morphe pencil, I apply this on top to hold my brows in place. Does this keep my brows from smudging? Yes. Does this hold my brows in place all day? Absolutely. It’s $4, does it look cheap? No. It actually works well compared to the top-selling brow gels.
Only complaint is that the tube is small. Considering the product does last long, I just use it quite often. I recommend stocking up on this, especially if you wear it alone and apply heavier coats for daily use.
So, Natonya would you purchase this again too? Yes! I have two tubes waiting on me.
Sometimes it’s just not necessary to spend a ton of my money on makeup. You can achieve a desired look without cracking your wallet into pieces. Overall, my brow routine is quite affordable, leaves me looking natural and quite polished.
What style of eyebrows do you prefer? Have you used these brow products by E.l.f. or Morphe before? Which products do you use on your brows?
