NIGHT MOISTURIZER
Have you heard women say, “I change my face cleanser every time the weather changes”? Well, this statement is so true for me. My super sensitive skin behaves way differently in the summer than it does in the winter. I know the 7+ step skincare regimen does justice for some but I’m doing more harm than good to slather on layers of products to my sensitive skin in the summer versus winter. If I’m limiting the type of extra products I use such as no essences, eye creams and some elixirs, I make sure to have a wide range of products I do use. In other words, I don’t use only one brand of face wash, I have at least four different gel cleansers my sensitive skin appreciates.
Switching up your skincare routine and products keeps your face from getting too comfortable. You want to avoid your skin getting used to the same ingredients too often because you’ll stop seeing improving results. It’ll just feel like the products are sitting on your face and doing nothing. Your goal every season should be to switch up skincare brands and products. For me, I know this winter season, I need to invest in top quality moisturizers for my sensitive skin.
Banila Co Miss Flower & Mr. Honey Cream
As the colder months approach, it’s quite helpful to adjust your skincare routine to one that combats dryness. I don’t know about you but when the cold air hits my cheeks they’re drier than the Sahara Desert. Dry patches are my skin’s arch nemesis in winter weather but adopting a night time hydration routine is the key to soothing those rough spots.
This Banila Co honey butter cream is the perfect balance between heavy and lightweight consistency. While my delicate facial skin thrives better from lighter products that allow my pores to breathe, my face in the winter needs something that’s strong enough to lock in moisture.

The honey cream contains raw honey, which helps keep skin clear with its antibacterial properties. Honey is a natural humectant that keeps the skin moist leaving it hydrated, especially in cold seasons. I like to use this cream at night because it leaves my skin feeling so soft in the mornings. Making my morning routine much easier because I’m not focused on adding back moisture to my face that could have been lost overnight with a weak night cream. Although it looks like a super thick heavy cream, it instantly melts between your fingers and glides across the skin so easily. It’s definitely on rotation as my go-to nighttime winter moisturizer.
I know I mentioned it’s important to change your products every three months but for those with sensitive skin, you’re probably thinking it’s quite risky considering sensitive skin gets irritated easily. However, once you managed which ingredients work best for you, changing up your skincare regimen is way less daunting than it sounds.
I’m happy I discovered this honey butter moisturizer because it really balances and soothes my sensitive skin. I definitely feel like my face is protected from the cold air winter brings.
Do you use different moisturizers in the winter? Have you tried the Banila Co honey cream?
